Welcome to Mother’s North!
Our North location features a 20 draft beer system, 195 seats for guests and multiple HD TV”s. We are starting off with an abbreviated menu that will grow and expand to the same made-from-scratch menu and signature items people have grown to love. We have healthy low calorie menu options and an extensive Bourbon list. We are now serving brunch. 95% of our menu is made from scratch. Located just off Padonia Road anchored by the Brick Bodies with ample parking right off the beltway by York Rd. We are excited to be across the street from our Federal Hill neighbor (Ryleigh’s) and close to our friends at Kooper’s. We are excited to be growing north of the city and to continue the Mother’s tradition of truly building “A place you can feel at home”
A little history about our brand. Founder Dave Rather graduated from Towson in 1991. He spent many years socializing in the York Rd. corridor. He created Mom’s Social Club that brought New Orleans bands to Baltimore for New Years Parties and brought Marylanders to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Having success with the social club, Dave started working on a tavern concept. His brother Adam, the cofounder and executive chef, learned his trade in St. John, Virgin Islands from Chef Aaron Willis.
The two brothers combined forces to create Mother’s Federal Hill Grille to sold out crowd New Years Eve 1997. Mother’s Federal Hill has fed over 500,000 meals to hungry guests. Mother’s has won many awards including Top Sports Bar in the country by Sporting News, Ultimate Burger in Maryland by the Food Network, multiple Best of Baltimore awards including Best Bar Food and is home to the world famous Purple Patio.
Mother’s Peninsula Grille or MPG as we call it opened on Ritchie Highway in the Severna Park-Arnold area in 2013. It has been hugely successful resulting in long time GM Marc Boyd being brought on as a partner. We continue to grow our brand south of the city by winning multiple best of Severna Park awards.
We are proud of the Mother’s brand and look to expand to more markets in the future to continue our tradition of “A Place You Can Feel at Home.”
